Spam emails are getting smarter

Recently I feel that spam emails are getting smarter. Every morning when I open up my mailbox, I always see 2 to 3 spam mails in my inbox which suppose to be delivered into spam/junk/bulk folder.

I am using Gmail, yahoo mail and hotmail. Here are the statistic of spam emails.

  • Yahoo! Mail - 0 to 1 spam per day
  • Gmail - 1 to 2 spams per day
  • Hotmail - 3 to 4 spams per day

Are spammers getting smarter? Or spam filter become weaker?

I only really use my gmail account and have noticed that I have got a lot of “image spam” lately, where the text is in an image. Though after reporting about 20 of these as spam, I haven’t seen so many of them.

I had the same problem with Image spam too, but now i’m getting less frequent of it, I guess the spam filters is learning how to filter them
