It was a nice Sunday today. I slept until 12pm and only took breakfast and skipped my lunch.
We supposed to discuss where should we go next after we have finished working in Kiwi factory but the final result… we still can’t decide where should we move next and shall look for a job or a place to stay before we moving out from Tauranga?.
Yesterday was a nice day. We worked until 5pm then we went for a dinner with a few Taiwanese and a Korean guy at a fish market near the place we are staying. I don’t like seafood much but fish and crab are still ok for me. I ordered fish, chip and crab stick which cost me NZD6.50 of total. The food was delicious especially the fried fish. It was so nice to have hot food at the cold night.. it would be better with a beer or hot coffee! I didn’t bring my camera along so can’t capture the great moments at the restaurant. Hmm, shall I carry my "big" camera all the time?
Later night yesterday, we went to pub at the city. The environment there is nice and everyone enjoying. I ordered a beer (NZD6.00) and it was great. I was thinking to have another one after I had finished my glass of beer but we then moved to another pub.
I forgot what is the next pub name but it looks more to a disco to me. Everyone was enjoying the rock music played by a live band and dancing. I ordered a Heineken beer which cost me NZD5.00 (it is a discounted price 4 for NZD20).
It was a fun and happy day. Get to know a few Taiwanese (hmm… all girls) and Korean guy. They all are great and every nice person. They are actually colleagues at Apata (our Kiwi packing house).
I am lazy updating my blog recently event though the Internet connection here is pretty good… probably 60% uptime. I am too tired after finish work from pack house and then still need to prepare food for the next day.. After we all have prepared the food for the next day and took bath, it is already 11pm plus. We can only then online to check mails and chatting for a while and go to sleep.
Tomorrow is a holiday in New Zealand but still need to work. We will get 1.5 times’ pay and one day off with pay. It is quite sad to work in a holiday…. since I can earn more and some more, next week will be the last week to work in the Kiwi pack house, I feel much better haha.. Work for money!
Sometimes, during working in the pack house I will think "Will I be degraded? What can I do after I go back to Malaysia". Maybe I should start planning what to do after this working holiday? Find an IT job? Setup a company? Not known yet…
