WordPress 2.0 Trackback

There is a problem when I have upgraded wordpress from version 1.5.2 to 2.0. The trackback does not work! Everytime I write a new post I need to manually send trackback to blogtal.com and petalingstreet.org.

Anyway, AhKnight has a quick workaround for the trackback bug in WordPress 2.0. You need update the ‘to_ping’ field in ‘wp-post’ database table to a zero length empty string.

WordPress 2.0 upgraded successfully

Just upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.0 few minutes ago withouth any problem. I have also developed a 3 column theme for it. It is now running on this blog.The theme still in testing phase. If everything is done, I will make it public :)

Note: Plug-in that do not work with WordPress 2.0 so far:

I will try to make my Default Trackback works more reliable later when I’m free.

Finally, WordPress 2 is released

Waited for a long long time and now finally WordPress 2.0 is released. Then homepage of wordpress.org has changed to a new one.. hmm a better and cleaner design. Will upgrade my blog to WordPress 2.0 when I get home tonight… I have made a new theme for WordPress 2.0 :)

If you want to upgrade your WordPress to the latest version, you can download it here and follow the upgrade instruction. Make sure you make a database backup of your old wordpress database.
